First unmanned subway train in Chengdu begins trial operation
(ECNS) — The first unmanned subway train in Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, began trial operation Wednesday.Chengdu Rail Transit Line 9 is the first fully automatic operation line in central and western China. It uses the highest Grade of Automation (GoA4) operation system and can run at a maximum speed of 100 km/h.Each carriage of the train is equipped with passenger emergency alarms.The total length of the line is 22.18 km.
